Blanket
This work is embroidered on an old blanket. It tells the story of a typical drunken night out. I am impressed by Tracy Emin’s candid accounts of her lifestyle as a young woman and so I thought it was appropriate to adopt her appliqué form. I have incorporated various ‘wasted objects’ to give it a more boyish feel and there is also a ranting poetic text sewn into the work.
