Beale's work engages with issues at the interface of domestic and public space. At HOLT she created a radical new environmental intervention. A passage from which the gallery space may be considered. The spectator was invited on a promenade through a concourse of private domestic fantasy; the visitor participates in the artists own journeys taken in the real spaces of Sherborne and Dublin and in theoretical domiciles and time frames negotiated through Duchamps Etant Donnes, Carrolls Alice in Wonderland and Tykwers Run Lola Run.
